The short version: you get a quote, you get a day, and then you stop thinking about it.
Once the ground has dried enough to work, the cleanup goes in: winter mat, gravel, sticks and blow-in off the lawn so the grass can start.
Weekly or bi-weekly mowing begins on a fixed day. First feed goes down once the ground has warmed up properly.
Cut height comes up through the hot stretch so the roots keep some shade. Second feed lands in the window where it does the most.
Aeration and overseeding go in while there's still growing season left to establish. Then the fall cleanup, before the snow beats us to it.
Why it's built this way
Plenty of lawn companies sell a package with everything in it, because it's a bigger number and it's easier to sell once. The problem is that half of it doesn't apply to your yard — you pay for aeration on ground that isn't compacted and seed on a lawn that's already thick. We keep mowing and trimming as the base, because every lawn needs those every week, and quote the rest against what your lawn is actually doing.

Yes. Lawn season runs roughly May through September with cleanups at either end, and snow clearing picks up from there — driveways, walks and commercial lots. Same crew, same set-day approach, so the property is covered the whole year rather than handed to someone else in October.
