Weed whacking here means a string trimmer, not a spray tank. We cut back the grass and weeds a mower physically cannot reach — up fence lines and posts, around tree trunks and shrub rings, along garden beds, against the house and shed, and down both sides of the walk and driveway.
On a lawn that's been cut but never trimmed, that ring of long growth is what makes the whole yard look neglected. It's also where creeping weeds get their start, because nothing is ever knocked back there. Trimming every visit keeps both problems from building up.

Matched height, clean line
The trimmer gets set to the same height the mower is cutting at, so the edges blend into the lawn instead of leaving a brown ring around everything. Around trees we stay off the bark — string damage at the base of a young trunk is permanent and it's the fastest way to kill a tree nobody thought was at risk. Bed and walk edges get a vertical line so the shape actually holds. Then the whole lot gets blown back onto the grass, not down the storm drain.

Weed whacking, answered
Is this spraying?
No. Weed whacking is a string trimmer — it cuts. Nothing gets applied to your lawn, nothing needs to dry, and kids and dogs can be back on the grass the second we're done. Herbicide spraying needs a BC applicator licence and ALC doesn't do it.
Will it kill the weeds for good?
No, and we won't tell you otherwise. Trimming cuts the top off. Perennial weeds like dandelion and thistle regrow from the root and will come back. What trimming does is stop them seeding across the yard and keep everything looking sharp.
Is it included with mowing?
Yes. If we mow for you, the trimming and the blow-down are part of the visit, not an extra line on the invoice.
Can you book it on its own?
Yes. Plenty of people cut their own grass and just want the edges and the overgrown corners dealt with a couple of times a season. That's a normal job for us.
My yard has been left for two years. Is that too far gone?
No, but tell us in the quote so we bring the right gear and price it honestly. Heavy overgrowth is a reset job, not a trim, and it usually takes one long visit before the yard can go onto normal service.
